Caliper Painting Near Wembley

Coloured calipers look either like a detail a workshop took seriously, or like an aerosol afternoon. Ours are covered: wheels off, calipers stripped and masked, and your colour sealed in high-temperature finish — one fixed quote per axle, booked in.

Pricing

Quoted fixed, before booking

This work is priced on its specifics once we can see the job — photographs get a fixed figure the same day, and that figure holds at booking rather than surfacing later on an invoice.

About

Small, but not casually so

The caliper painting trade splits easily: painters who treat it as a fourth-rate paint job (brush kits, aerosol haze onto discs, colour over grime) and a much smaller set who understand that a component visible through the wheel spokes shows every shortcut from a metre away. We are the latter: the caliper is stripped to the body, prepared, masked away from friction surfaces, and sealed in heat-cured high-temperature colour intended for exactly the thermal punishment braking delivers.

Wembley bookings tend to arrive for the two obvious reasons. First, new or refurbished wheels going on — a set of clean wheels behind which sit grime-grey calipers reads unfinished the moment you park and look. Second, the detail-minded: owners who want a visible accent, and would rather it survive years of brake heat than a season of road salt. Colours are picked from a high-temperature palette and confirmed before booking, since 'red' means a dozen different things and only one of them is the red you had in mind.

Because the wheels come off entirely, caliper painting is the natural companion to alloy refurbishment on the same visit — one set of removals and one torque cycle; combined quotes reflect the shared work. Pricing is fixed per axle by quotation rather than list price: caliper shapes and access differ continuously, and a real quote beats a fake 'from' figure.

Caliper painting is finished in the same climate-controlled booths, to the insurer-approved refinishing methods and with the lifetime paint warranty applied across our bodyshop work. Quality runs under ISO 9001 processes, with ISO 27001 covering the records behind each booked vehicle.

Our process

The job, honestly

Four steps where the skill lives in the three before the colour — not on top of it.

01

Lift, wheels off, inspect

Ramps raise the car, wheels come properly off, and the caliper gets an honest once-over: sticky sliders, thin pad depth, weeping piston seals. Anything mechanical spotted is reported to you before colour goes near it — a painted-over fault helps nobody.

02

Degrease, abrade, mask

Cleaning is the half-skill: every trace of road grime off, then light abrasion for the paint to key to, then masking over hoses, bleed nipples and pad friction faces — and bagging over the disc. On the caliper's shape, one missed edge shows for years.

03

Heat-cured colour

The agreed shade applied in sealed, high-temperature passes built to survive braking heat cycles — not a generic aerosol layer that goes chalky by the first hill start. Edges stay crisp because the masking stayed in place till the end.

04

Refit and handover

Torque-spec refit of all wheels, brake check before the car leaves its bay, and the finished axle presented for you to clock — usually under the same bright lights in which it was painted.

Location

The workshop behind Wembley's calipers

Unit 30, Abbey Industrial Estate, Mount Pleasant, Alperton, Wembley HA0 1NR — a Wembley postcode address, so the caliper census is conducted almost around the corner from Central, not across the borough.

  • From Wembley Central or the stadium: Ealing Road southbound to the estate itself; the address is inside HA0.
  • Alperton station on the Piccadilly line walks in under half a mile — drop the car and be on with your day.
  • Hanger Lane on the A40/A406 sits roughly half a mile east for drivers coming around the ring.

COMMON
QUESTIONS.

Everything insurance, parts, timelines and warranties. Can't find your answer? Our team is one call away.

Quoted, not listed — calipers differ enough in shape and access that honesty beats a 'from' figure here. You get one fixed figure per axle from photographs of your setup, and it stands. For most Wembley jobs, the quote is returned the same day the photos arrive.
